- The virus can survive up to 6 months in cold environments.
- Main transmission sources: humans, milk truck drivers, and equipment.
- Limit visitors, disinfect clothing and vehicles, ensure proper ventilation
-Outbreak Response:-
1. Immediately notify veterinary authorities.
2. Isolate infected animals and apply full quarantine.
3. Follow vaccination and nutritional support protocols.
-Supportive Nutrition and Treatment:-
- Strengthen immunity with vitamins A, E, zinc, and selenium.
- Use mild rinses (vinegar or baking soda).
- Apply anti-inflammatory and antibiotic treatment if needed.
-After Recovery:-
- Animals may shed the virus for 4 weeks; hygiene is essential.
- Complete herd vaccination 4–6 months after recovery.
